A look into past and into future...

It can be said that the year 2008 was a good year for Fall of the Idols. We played a bunch of good shows here in Finland, released The Séance which got really good reception and as a real sugar on the bottom did The European Séance Tour with Earth Flight. Once again a deep bow and thanks to everyone involved - bands, organizers and people who came to the shows! Also thanks and a deep bow to I Hate Records for their support.

While at the moment we're still working in a studio on a bunch of new tracks which will see the light of day in some form or another next year we've already started to compose material for our third full-length which carries the working title Vanitas - cheerful title, isn't it? The new material is in traditional Fall of the Idols vein, only a bit more diverse - natural succession for The Womb of the Earth and The Séance. And it's H-E-A-V-Y. Perhaps one could sense even some hints of good ol' NWOBHM in there...
We hope to record the new album on the latter part of the year 2009 aiming for early 2010 release so don't hold your breath for that one. But like I said, something else is in the works!

We've already started to plan our next tour to Central Europe and questions like 'with whom' and 'when' have already been solved but that's all what there is to tell about it for now - you never know what might happen and we'd hate to announce something to happen which then doesn't. But if our plans work well (and I see no reason why they wouldn't) it'll be something to really look forward to!
